Poor Thyroid Problems function often goes undetected. One way to indicate the functional health of your thyroid is to examine your Basal Body Temperature. Take your temperature from under your arm for 10 minutes first thing upon waking in the morning prior to getting out of bed. Conduct this test on at least five successive mornings and record the results. The normal range temperature is 36.4 – 36.7ºC or 97.8 – 98.2ºF.
Temperatures below this range are suggestive of hypothyroidism, and those above of hyperthyroidism.
