The New Year presents a fresh opportunity to work on your health. This is especially the case if you feel there are areas of your health that could be improved. Many of us get to the end of a year feeling worn out and overweight. But there are some simple tips that we can follow to kick start our health and feel energised for 2018.

Tip #1 Plan to Succeed. We plan most if not all other areas of our life yet many of us fail to plan our health. We allow our schedules to run us rather than the other way around. The old adage that if we fail to plan then we plan to fail is also true for our eating, exercise routines, and our sleep. Start each week deciding ahead of time what you will eat for lunches and dinners, when you will exercise, and how much sleep you will get each night. This ensures we succeed at attaining good health rather thanĀ getting to the end of another year feeling defeated.new health simple tips

Tip #2 Small Things. We all grasp the concept that in life it is the little things that seem to matter most. This is also true when it comes to making health goals. Start small and do not aim to change all of your bad habits at once. Focussing just on one small change a month will add up by the end of the year. An example might be to plan this month to drink more water. Start each day by filling two large water bottles that you plan to drink for the day. Take small sips throughout the day to stay hydrated. Once you have mastered one habit move on to the next.

Tip #3 Have a Health Check. How many years has it been since you had a health check? When was the last time you felt well? Feeling tired, unable to lose weight, irritable, and unable to sleep should not be your norm. Yet so many people struggle year after year feeling this way.

Make this your best year yet when it comes to your health. From good health all other areas of your life improve. Consider seeking some professional advice from an integrative doctor who will look at the root cause of your health issues and help you devise a plan to feel fantastic again.
